Going to the pumpkin patch.
It's tradition this time of year.
It was a gorgeous day.
And we got lucky...school was out for my kids due to parent teacher conference, so the pumpkin patch opened early. But no one really knew.
We practically had the place to ourselves.

We went through the corn maze.
And, as usual, I was just along for the ride.
I would honestly never make it out if it weren't for my children.
After we turn one time, I have no idea which direction I'm headed.
They had a hard time coming to an agreement a few times.
And, no offense to the other two, but learned to always believe Carson.
He would say something like, "Ok, we are in the S now."
And I would think, "Yeah right."
But then we would come to a check point and he would be exactly right.
Go figure.
Guess he gets that from a different gene pool.

The adorable scarecrow on the left is my niece Fiona.
We met up with her and her parents at the patch.
She was loving it all.
Well, except for the big poky pumpkins.
And lucky thing...she also brought her grandpa, Bobby G., with her.
It was good to see him.
And when Carson found a lost wallet out in the patch, it meant that we had a real-life retired policeman with us to launch a full-blown investigation.
Warm enough for snow cones!
Austin seems to be showing off his new toothless smile.
Carlie rode the little barrel train with Fiona.
Cute girls!
I think this is the first time any of my kids have been buried in the corn pit.
He said it might be the last.
Actually he said it was too corny.
Get it?
Ha ha.

This was the pumpkin Austin picked and held on to the whole time.
He spotted it on our hay ride.
It was half-buried in the mud tracks from the tractor.
He wanted to rescue it so badly.
As soon as the ride stopped, he took off back down the road to find it.

Lots of pictures, I know.
But I like to remember fun days like these.
