end of a season

Saturday was the end of fall soccer for the three punks.
It's cool to see how much their love of sports continues to grow.

It was a good season.

Carson's team was undefeated.
To be honest, they would have much preferred more competition.
It's not to sound puffed up, it's just that those boys really wanted to...but didn't get a chance to...play their hardest.
Carson is able to play the whole field really well.
He can always score and loves to doing it, but he is a rock on defense.

Carlie's team did so well playing in the upper division.
They had some great games.
She was always pretty out-sized, but she learned to fight back a bit.
Her coach does not even have a child playing soccer, but he continues to help these girls learn soccer season after season.
Pretty great.

Austin's team was so, so fun to watch.
It's funny to say, but I think his games were the biggest nail-biters.
Those little six year olds learned so much this season.
It helped that their coach used to be a serious player.
Too bad he's going to be too busy to stay with them.
But Austin loved playing and having some of his good friends from school on his team.
And, when I was working during one of his last games, I got a text saying that he had scored SEVEN goals.
He was pretty proud.
