Summer is rolling along so quickly!
Practically yesterday I told my kids, "I can't believe it's July!"
And in a few days it will be August.
Now that we are in the deep depths of dark and dank depression,
here are some pictures of what my kiddos have been up to the past few weeks.
The older kids had fun with tennis lessons.
Carson is giving a little shout out after winning his "match."
And then here his coach comes along and asks him when he's going to turn pro.
He left with a big head that day.

Carlie enjoyed tennis, too.
Here she is with some "doubles" action.
Unfortunately, that's all the pictures of her.
Before she was "sidelined" anyway.
She had a bike accident and was on crutches for the second half of the lessons.
I have to include this picture because it makes my little grinch heart grow three sizes every time I see it.
This was the morning after her foot injury.
We were still waiting for a phone call to see if the foot was broken.
And her brothers were so concerned for their sister.
They got up and made her breakfast in bed all on their own.
Totally their idea.
Lots of scrambled eggs (her favorite), toast, and yummy smoothie.
It really surprised Carlie that her brothers did that for her.
And meant a lot to her.
We were ecstatic to find out that her foot wasn't broken.
But she did miss out on half of her swimming lessons, too.
She and Carson really didn't want to take swimming lessons this year anyway.
But I talked them into doing one more summer.
They were in a lifeguard prep class.
And they had to swim hard.
Austin loved his class.
He loves being in the water.
And doesn't fear doing much of anything anymore.
He was the only one in his class that wanted to go off the high dive.
Fridays were Fun Day.
If you look closely in the next picture you can see poor Carlie in the green shirt hobbling around the pool to talk to Carson and her teacher.
And try to figure out why her teacher is wearing a goofy viking hat in the water.
The next picture shows my boys side by side.
Austin going for it and Carson contemplating whether to flip, jump, or belly-flop.
And, as for the next picture,
I simply have no explanation.
